Facilities: The Nursery offers girls and boys wonderful opportunities to experience and develop a life-long love of school and learning. It enables all pupils to have Music, Ballet, Dance, PE, Swimming and French lessons during their busy schedule. Outside the Nursery are excellent outdoor play activity areas, which include an adventure playground and trail and an all-weather pitch where sit-on-and-ride toys can be used. Older pupils have class music lessons and can join a variety of prep school choirs. There is also a prep school orchestra, woodwind and string group. Pupils have the opportunity to learn a wide variety of instruments, including harp, guitar, drums. We hold termly concerts along with an annual musical. The prep school has access to the astroturf and athletics facilities at the main school as well as the tennis courts and swimming pool. Set in the school grounds, Casterton School stables offer a variety of equine activities. Facilities include an all-weather, outdoor arena, jumping field with a selection of cross country fences and coloured show jumps, fourteen stables, a barn, large tack room and dedicated changing facilities. Casterton School is a Pony Club centre, enabling pupils to access all the benefits offered by the Pony Club - Achievement Badges, Progressive Awards and Efficiency Tests. Boarding is for girls aged 8 years and upwards. We offer weekly, flexi and full boarding. There is a wealth of exciting activities for all the Preparatory School pupils – boys and girls, day and boarding – at the end of the school day. During weekends staff run workshops, visits, games and other activities to ensure that all the boarders are fully and happily occupied. These sessions are open for all Day Pupils to join if they wish.
